Ghanaian forward Mohammed Fuseini came off the bench to score in Union Saint-Gilloise’s commanding 3-0 victory against KV Mechelen in the Belgian Pro League play-offs.
The 22-year-old found the net in stoppage time, finishing calmly in the 90+2nd minute after receiving a pass from Anouar Aït El Hadj.
Union Saint-Gilloise had taken control of the match early, with Mateo Biondić opening the scoring in the 11th minute through an assist from Anan Khalaili.
Aït El Hadj added the second goal after the break with Biondić turning provider to put the home side firmly in charge.
Fuseini’s late goal completed an impressive performance for Union, who dominated possession and created the better chances throughout the game.
The victory continues the club’s strong run of form ahead of their Belgian Cup clash against Anderlecht on Thursday, May 14.
