Ghanaian midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi has received another major career recognition after being nominated for the Danish Superliga Player of the Month award for May in the 2025/26 season.
The young talent earned the nomination following a series of impressive performances for FC Nordsjaelland during the closing stages of the campaign, where he has been a key figure for the club.
Originally a midfielder, Yirenkyi has shown remarkable versatility after being deployed in a central defensive role in recent matches. Despite the positional change, he has delivered composed and consistent performances, earning praise in Denmark.
His maturity, defensive awareness, and ability to control play from deep positions have made him one of the standout young players in the Danish top flight.
Yirenkyi’s strong season has already seen him recognised internally at FC Nordsjaelland, where he was named Player of the Season for his outstanding contributions throughout the campaign.
He has also earned additional nominations for both the Danish Superliga Young Player of the Season award and the overall Player of the Season honour, highlighting his rapid rise in European football.
The Ghanaian has made 29 appearances this season, scoring twice and contributing several assists across all competitions, as he continues to strengthen his reputation ahead of the final stretch of the campaign.
