Football academy owner and actor Yaw Dabo has declined to comment on persistent rumors surrounding his relationship with former Hearts of Oak star Daniel Afriyie Barnieh.
Dabo, who has long been credited with helping guide Barnieh’s football career during its early stages.
During an interview on the ATUU show the Yaw Dabo was quizzed whether he benefited financially from managing the player before he turned professional. However, the academy owner chose not to delve into the matter. “As for that one, I don’t want to say anything about that matter,” Dabo responded.
When questioned about his relationship with Barnieh, Dabo explained that his role was limited to managing the player at a time when he did not yet own a football academy.
“As for him, I was only managing him. He was amongst those I started the work with at the time I was not having a football academy,” he said.

Once again, Dabo declined to address the allegations directly.
“I don’t want to talk about that issue,” he replied.
Dabo’s comments are likely to fuel further speculation about the nature of his relationship with Barnieh, as the football administrator repeatedly avoided discussing claims that he was not adequately rewarded for his role in the player’s development.
