Minister for Youth and Sports, Kofi Adams, paid a visit to the popular Believers Worship Centre, widely known as Philadelphia Church, ahead of Ghana’s participation in the upcoming FIFA World Cup.
The church, led by Rev. Adom Kyei-Duah, welcomed the minister and his entourage as they sought spiritual support and blessings for the Black Stars, who are preparing for their fifth appearance at the global football showpiece.
Addressing the congregation, Kofi Adams expressed confidence that the visit was divinely ordained and linked it to Ghana’s World Cup assignment in Philadelphia.
“I am not a prophet nor a pastor, but I know God has arranged this. Once we have arrived at Philadelphia Church, and Philadelphia is the place where we are going to play our match, the God of Philadelphia will see us through and help us progress,” the minister stated.
Church members received the minister warmly, offering prayers for success in his role and for Ghana’s campaign at the World Cup. Many in the congregation expressed optimism that the Black Stars would enjoy a successful tournament with divine guidance and support.
