Hearts of Oak forward Hamza Issah is edging closer to a possible move abroad after a proposal was made for him to join South African side Siwelele on a season-long loan.
The discussions involve a structured deal that would see Issah leave Hearts of Oak temporarily for the duration of the season, with the South African club holding an option to complete a permanent transfer depending on his performances and overall impact.
Under the terms currently being considered, Siwelele are expected to pay a loan fee of around $10,000 to Hearts of Oak as part of the agreement. The package also includes the possibility of a future permanent deal if both the player and club are satisfied after the loan spell.
The move is being viewed as an important opportunity for Issah, who has been developing steadily in the Ghana Premier League. A switch to South Africa would give him exposure to a different football environment known for its high tempo, tactical discipline, and strong competitive structure. It is also seen as a chance for him to test himself outside Ghana and potentially raise his profile on a bigger stage.
For Hearts of Oak, the proposal fits into their wider approach of managing player development and exploring opportunities that benefit both the club and the individual. A loan deal would allow Issah to gain valuable experience while the club retains long-term control over his future, especially if the permanent option is activated later.
Siwelele’s interest highlights their intention to reinforce their attacking department ahead of the new season, with the club reportedly keen on assessing Issah over a full campaign before making any final commitment.
Negotiations are still ongoing, and no final agreement has been reached yet. However, talks are progressing, and all parties are expected to make a decision in the coming days as the transfer situation develops.
