The 30-year-old centre-back leaves Balaídos after making 150 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals and providing two assists during a successful spell. Since joining from Belgian club KRC Genk, Aidoo established himself as a key figure in Celta’s defence and became a fan favourite.

In an emotional farewell message posted on Instagram, Aidoo thanked the club’s supporters, teammates, coaching staff and backroom personnel for their unwavering support throughout his time in Spain.
He described Celta as a home for both himself and his family, noting that his youngest daughter was born in Vigo and that the city would always hold a special place in their hearts.
Aidoo said the friendships and memories created at the club would remain with him forever as he prepares for the next chapter of his career.
