Austrian 2. Liga side Admira Wacker have completed the signing of Ghanaian forward Benjamin Nyarko from Czech top-flight club Slovan Liberec as they continue to reinforce their squad ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The 22-year-old attacker arrives in Südstadt with high expectations, as the club looks to inject greater pace, power and attacking quality into its frontline for the upcoming campaign.
Nyarko’s move marks a fresh chapter in his European career after his spell in the Czech Republic, with Admira convinced the Ghanaian possesses the qualities needed to make an immediate impact.
Sporting director Ralf Muhr expressed confidence in the club’s latest acquisition, describing Nyarko as a physically strong, quick and internationally experienced striker capable of transforming Admira’s attacking play.
According to Muhr, the Ghanaian’s arrival is expected to add greater dynamism in the final third while providing the goals and creativity needed to strengthen the team’s promotion ambitions.
Admira believe Nyarko has the attributes to become a key figure in the squad as they target a strong campaign in Austria’s second division.
Nyarko is expected to integrate quickly into the team and could make his unofficial debut in Admira Wacker’s upcoming pre-season friendly against Donaufeld on July 18.
The friendly will offer supporters their first glimpse of the Ghanaian forward, who is eager to establish himself and help the club challenge near the top of the table.
Having gained valuable experience in European football, Nyarko now faces a new challenge in Austria, where he will be hoping to rediscover his best form and play a leading role in Admira Wacker’s quest for success during the 2026/27 season.
