The Former Orlando Pirates and Cape Town City head coach has made a sensational move to Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko as the new head coach of the club.
The veteran South African tactician will now embark on his first managerial stint outside of the PSL as he looks to restore the Porcupine Warriors to their past glory.
The 55-year-old, who has spent over a decade establishing himself as a heavyweight in the South African top flight, has finally taken over Asante Kotoko, one of the most prestigious clubs in West African football history.
Tinkler will now spearhead the club’s player recruitment and also lead their preparations for the upcoming 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season.
Having won a record 25 titles, in the Ghanaian domestic league, they finished a disappointing 10th in the Ghana Premier League last season, far below the expectations of their demanding fan base.
