Newly promoted Premier League side Ipswich Town have begun discussions with Leicester City over a possible move for Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The 22-year-old attacker has emerged as a key transfer target for Ipswich as the club looks to strengthen its squad following their return to England’s top flight.
Issahaku’s pace, creativity and attacking ability have made him one of Ghana’s most exciting young talents, with Ipswich viewing him as a potential addition who can provide quality and depth on the wings.
However, the Tractor Boys are expected to face strong competition for his signature, with clubs from Turkey, Saudi Arabia and France also keeping a close eye on his situation. Premier League rivals West Ham United are also believed to have maintained a long-standing interest in the former Steadfast FC academy product.
The Ghana international enjoyed a promising spell with Leicester City, where he continued his development after helping the Foxes secure promotion back to the Premier League.
Talks between Ipswich Town and Leicester City remain at an early stage, with no agreement reached as the club assesses its options regarding the winger’s future.
Issahaku’s next move is expected to be one of the major talking points of the transfer window, with several clubs monitoring developments around the highly-rated Black Stars forward.
