Leicester City have announced that an agreement has been reached between the club and Ipswich Town for the sale of Ghana international Abdul Fatawu Issahaku for an undisclosed fee, subject to league and international approval.
Issahaku now leaves The League One side for Ipswich Town after three years with the club.
The 22-year-old Ghana international initially joined the club on loan from Sporting Lisbon at the start of the 23/24 season, before making the move permanent the following summer after an impressive campaign which saw his team lift the Sky Bet Championship.
The Black Stars winger capped 100 occasions across three seasons, scoring 16 goals for Leicester City.
Announcing the player’s departure, Leicester City said: “We would like to thank Abdul for his efforts over the last three seasons as he departs with the very best wishes of everyone at Leicester City.”
The player featured for Ghana at the 2026 FIFA World Cup where he helped the Black Stars reach the round of 32 stage before exiting the tournament with a narrow 1:0 loss to Colombia.
