Ghana international Mohammed Kudus was not included in his club’s squad for Wednesday’s 1-0 pre-season victory over MK Dons as he continues his rehabilitation from a quadriceps injury.
The 25-year-old midfielder is still following an individual recovery programme and is yet to return to full training with the rest of the squad as the club carefully monitors his progress.
Kudus has been working extensively with the club’s strength and conditioning team, taking part in intensive rehabilitation sessions that include sharp turns, directional changes, and movement drills. Although his recovery is progressing positively, he has not yet been cleared to resume full team activities.
The Black Stars midfielder has been out of action since suffering the injury in January. His rehabilitation was further complicated by a setback in April, which eventually ruled him out of Ghana’s campaign at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
His absence from the friendly match had been anticipated, with the club opting to focus on his complete recovery ahead of the upcoming season.
Kudus remains a key figure for both his club and the Black Stars, with hopes high that he will complete his rehabilitation successfully and make a full return to competitive football without any further injury setbacks.
