Ghanaian-born forward Prince Asumah Abubakar-Ankra has completed a move to Azerbaijani top-flight club Kapaz PFK, signing a contract that will keep him at the club until the end of the current season.
The 29-year-old attacker joins Kapaz after ending his spell with Austrian side Austria Lustenau, where he gained valuable experience in European football.
Abubakar, who was born in Ghana but developed his career in Europe, brings a wealth of experience to the Azerbaijani club after representing several teams across Portugal, Switzerland and Austria.
The forward previously featured for Portugal at youth international level, earning a call-up to the Portugal U19 national team during his development years.
Known for his pace, movement and attacking versatility, Abubakar will be expected to provide additional firepower to Kapaz PFK as they compete in the Azerbaijani Premier League.
His move to Azerbaijan represents another opportunity for the experienced striker to revive his career and make a significant impact at his new club.
