Black Stars midfielder Kwasi Sibo has revealed that his family is encouraging him to move to the Saudi Pro League as he weighs up several offers following the expiration of his contract with Spanish side Real Oviedo.
The 27-year-old, who became a free agent before the 2026 FIFA World Cup, disclosed that he is considering proposals from clubs in England, Germany and Saudi Arabia as he prepares to decide the next chapter of his career.
“My family wants me to move to the Saudi Pro League. My contract with Real Oviedo expired before the World Cup. I am now considering my options. I have received offers from clubs in England, Germany and Saudi Arabia, although my family is keen for me to move to Saudi Arabia,” Sibo told Lawson FM/TV.
Sibo enjoyed an impressive spell with Real Oviedo, establishing himself as a key figure in midfield. During the 2025/26 season, he made 38 appearances across all competitions, contributing three goals and four assists while helping the Spanish club compete strongly throughout the campaign.
Renowned for his ball-winning ability, composure in possession and tactical intelligence, Sibo also enhanced his reputation on the international stage with Ghana during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where his disciplined displays in midfield earned widespread praise.
Now a free agent, the former Watford and UD Ibiza midfielder is expected to make a decision on his future in the coming weeks, with interest from Europe and the Middle East highlighting his growing reputation.
