South African club Siwelele FC’s proposed move for Ghanaian attacker Hamza Issa has been called off after the required transfer documentation was not completed within the stipulated period.
The deal, which was believed to be close to completion, will no longer go ahead, bringing an end to the player’s expected move to the South African Premier Soccer League side.
Issa had emerged as a transfer target for Siwelele FC following his performances in Ghanaian football, with the club keen to strengthen its attacking options ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
The Ghanaian forward was expected to add pace, creativity and attacking depth to Siwelele’s squad, but the failure to finalize the necessary paperwork forced both parties to abandon the proposed agreement.
The 22-year-old is now set to return to Ghana before the weekend as he evaluates his next career move.
Issa has previously featured in Ghana’s domestic competitions, where he gained experience competing at the top level and built a reputation for his attacking ability, direct running and goal threat in the final third.
Despite the setback, the forward remains a player of interest, with clubs expected to continue monitoring his situation ahead of the new season.
