Sri Lankan Premier League club Renown SC have officially announced the signing of Ghanaian defender Emmanuel Anaful ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The centre-back joins the club after gaining valuable experience in the Ghana Premier League with Ebusua Dwarfs and Karela United, where he developed a reputation as a dependable defender with strong physical attributes and defensive discipline.
Anaful has already made his first appearance for Renown SC, featuring in the club’s impressive 3-0 victory over Defenders as he begins his new chapter in Sri Lankan football.
The Ghanaian defender brings several seasons of top-flight experience, having competed in Ghana’s elite division and faced some of the country’s strongest attacking players during his spells with Dwarfs and Karela United.
Known for his ability to read the game, win aerial battles and provide stability at the back, Anaful is expected to play a key role as Renown SC strengthen their squad for the upcoming campaign.
The move marks another international opportunity for the Ghanaian defender as he joins the growing list of players from the country making their mark across Asian leagues.
