Ghanaian midfielder Obed Asare has completed a move to Italian Serie D side US Città di Fasano ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The 22-year-old has signed a one-year contract with the club as Fasano strengthen their squad with ambitions of pushing for promotion to Serie C.
Fasano officially confirmed the arrival of the Ghanaian midfielder, describing him as one of their latest additions ahead of the new campaign.
“The Ghanaian midfielder Obed Asare has joined US Città di Fasano. The club announces that it has signed Obed Asare, a midfielder born in 2004,” the club announced.
Asare joins Fasano after an impressive two-year spell with Ferrandina, where he developed into one of the standout young performers in the league.
During the 2025/26 season, the Ghanaian midfielder enjoyed a productive campaign, scoring 10 goals in 33 league appearances, highlighting his attacking contribution from midfield.
Known for his energy, creativity and ability to contribute in the final third, Asare has steadily built his reputation in Italian lower-league football since moving from Ghana.
Speaking after completing his transfer, the midfielder expressed his excitement about joining Fasano and becoming part of the club’s project.
“My interactions with this club last season made me fall in love with Fasano, and I’m happy to find an excellent organisation with great potential. I’m therefore happy to be part of this wonderful family, and together I’m sure we’ll be strong.”
Asare’s move continues his progression in European football after beginning his journey in Ghana with Faith Soccer Academy, before making the switch to Italy.
He will now look to play a key role as Fasano aim to achieve their promotion ambitions during the 2026/27 campaign.
