Former Ghana international Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has appealed to the Manhyia Palace to allow Asante Kotoko’s newly constituted Board of Directors to remain in office for at least three years.
Agyemang Badu believes the frequent changes in management at the club have prevented the Porcupine Warriors from achieving the desired level of stability and progress.
Speaking on Luv FM, the former midfielder urged Manhyia to give the new board enough time to implement its plans and build a sustainable structure at the club.
“I will plead with Manhyia to let this Kotoko Board stay on for at least three years, as the yearly change of management doesn’t help the club,” Agyemang Badu said.
His comments come after the appointment of a new Kotoko Board, headed by James Osei Brown, with Kwasi Osei Ofori as Vice-Chairman and Kofi Amoa-Abban as a Board Member.
According to Agyemang Badu, continuity and long-term planning are essential if Kotoko are to return to sustained success.
He believes allowing the current leadership to work for an extended period would give the board the opportunity to establish its vision, strengthen the club’s structures and deliver meaningful results on and off the pitch.
