Germany-Ghanaian striker Ilyas Ansah has emerged as a transfer target for Premier League side Hull City, with reports linking the young forward to a move from Bundesliga club Union Berlin.
The 21-year-old centre-forward joined Union Berlin from SC Paderborn in July 2025 in a deal worth €4 million and has since established himself as part of the club’s first-team squad. His current market value is estimated at €12 million, reflecting his rapid development.
Ansah has made one appearance for Union Berlin this season, playing the full 90 minutes in the DFB-Pokal, although he did not register a goal or an assist.
Standing at 1.97 metres, the right-footed striker is known for his physical presence and aerial ability. Born in Lüdenscheid, Germany, Ansah remains eligible to represent either Germany or Ghana at international level.
Before joining Union Berlin, Ansah enjoyed a breakthrough campaign with SC Paderborn, having progressed through the club’s youth ranks after arriving from Siegen in 2022.
Hull City’s reported interest is still at an early stage, with no formal offer or agreement yet reached between the clubs or the player. Ansah remains under contract with Union Berlin and is expected to continue with the Bundesliga side unless negotiations progress before the transfer window closes.
