Ghana captain Jordan Ayew has completed a move to English Championship side Sheffield United on a one-year contract.
The 34-year-old forward joins the Blades as a free agent after leaving Leicester City following the expiration of his contract.
Ayew brings extensive experience to the Sheffield United attack, having made more than 500 competitive appearances during his career with clubs including Marseille, Lorient, Aston Villa, Swansea City, Crystal Palace and Leicester City.
Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder is pleased with the signing and believes Ayew’s experience and ability to play in different attacking positions will give the team more options.
Ayew is also eager to begin his new chapter in English football after the club moved quickly to secure his services.
He is expected to link up with the Sheffield United squad immediately.
