Hearts of Oak head coach Nebojsa Kapor has warned his players to expect a strong response from Bibiani Gold Stars when the two sides meet in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
Kapor believes the defending champions will be highly motivated for the encounter, particularly after beginning their league campaign with a defeat.
The Serbian coach says Gold Stars are a quality and experienced side and expects them to approach the home fixture with a strong desire to secure their first points of the season.
“This is a team, like you told me, that is very good and very experienced, and they started the first game with a defeat. Normally, they are going to try to win the game at home.”
Kapor’s comments reflect his assessment of the challenge Hearts of Oak are likely to face in Bibiani, where Gold Stars will be determined to make amends for their opening-day setback.
The Hearts coach is therefore expected to demand concentration and discipline from his players as they prepare for what could be a highly competitive encounter.
Hearts of Oak began their campaign strongly and will be looking to maintain their positive start, but Kapor knows that facing the reigning champions on their home ground will present a different test.
With both sides having important objectives at stake, the match is expected to produce an intense contest as Gold Stars seek their first victory and Hearts aim to continue their momentum.
