FC AshantiGold 04 secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over fellow Ghana Premier League newcomers Debibi United at the Len Clay Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The Miners bounced back from their defeat to Basake Holy Stars in the previous matchday with a determined performance on home soil, earning another important three points in their campaign.

Twumasi’s goal gave AshantiGold a 2-1 lead and placed Debibi United under pressure once again.
The visitors responded by pushing forward in search of a second equaliser, but AshantiGold remained disciplined during the closing stages.
The Miners defended their advantage effectively and prevented Debibi United from finding the breakthrough they needed.
The final whistle confirmed a 2-1 victory for AshantiGold, giving the home side another valuable result at the Len Clay Stadium.
