Ghanaian midfielder Rahim Ibrahim has secured his long-term future at Slovakian giants Slovan Bratislava after signing a contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2030.
The 25-year-old attacking midfielder has been rewarded for his impressive performances this season with a new four-year deal, strengthening his bond with the reigning Slovak champions.
Ibrahim has been one of Slovan Bratislava’s standout performers since the start of the campaign, with his consistent displays reportedly attracting interest from clubs ahead of the next transfer window.
The club moved quickly to retain the services of the former Accra Lions player, handing him a fresh contract that will run until the end of the 2029/30 season.
“Rahim Ibrahim remains at the Blues. The management of ŠK Slovan Bratislava has agreed with the 25-year-old midfielder to extend his contract until the end of the 2029/30 season. The two-time champion with the Blues is looking forward to new challenges at the most successful Slovak club,” the club announced.
Ibrahim has made 13 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring two goals, as he continues to establish himself as a key figure in the Slovan Bratislava squad.
The contract extension adds to an important period in his career after earning his first call-up to the Ghana national team for the opening matches of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Although included in the Black Stars squad, Ibrahim is yet to make his senior international debut. He was part of the Ghana team that suffered defeats against Côte d’Ivoire and The Gambia during the recent international window.
With his club future now settled, Ibrahim will aim to continue his strong form in Slovakia while pushing for his maiden appearance for the Black Stars.
