Asante Kotoko assistant coach Diogo Mendes Gomes Pinto Peral has been charged by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) following an alleged assault on Medeama SC player Ebenezer Adade during their Ghana Premier League encounter.
The charge relates to an alleged breach of Article 12(1)(h) of the GFA Disciplinary Code, 2019, after an incident involving the Portuguese assistant coach and the Medeama player during the match.
According to the disciplinary charge, Pinto Peral is alleged to have physically assaulted Adade during the encounter, an incident that has now attracted the attention of the GFA’s disciplinary authorities.
The development could have disciplinary implications for the Asante Kotoko technical team, depending on the outcome of the proceedings and the response submitted by the coach.
The GFA has given the Kotoko assistant coach until Wednesday, November 4, 2026, to respond to the charge and present his defence.
The matter is expected to proceed through the association’s established disciplinary process, after which the appropriate decision will be communicated.
Pinto Peral will have the opportunity to respond to the allegations before any final disciplinary determination is made.
