Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku has suggested that certain sensitive truths about Ghana’s failure to win the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) for 44 years should be discussed away from the cameras.
He made the remark when questioned by Parliament’s Youth and Sports Committee about why the Black Stars have gone more than four decades without lifting the continental trophy.
Mr Okraku reportedly requested that the discussion be held off camera, explaining that some truths, when revealed at the wrong time, could be damaging.
“Sometimes certain truths said at the wrong time could be very damaging,” he stated.
He later spoke about the issue in an interview with Citi Sports.
