In a dazzling display of skill and determination, Jordan Ayew propelled the Black Stars to a thrilling 4-3 victory over the Central African Republic in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Monday.

The Crystal Palace forward showcased his scoring prowess with goals in the 6th, 60th, and 69th minutes, securing Ghana’s win and propelling them to the top of the group in match four of the qualifiers.

Ayew’s first hat-trick for Ghana dates back to a pre-World Cup friendly against South Korea in 2014, where he made an immediate impact after coming on as a substitute in the sixth minute for the injured Majeed Waris. He netted his first goal just five minutes later, followed by a long-range effort in the 53rd minute and a poacher’s finish in the box in the 89th minute.

With this remarkable achievement, Ayew has further solidified his position as one of the team’s most experienced and reliable players, with seven goals in his last five appearances for the Black Stars. He currently leads as the top scorer for Ghana in the qualifiers, underlining his invaluable contribution to the team’s success.

This latest feat also marks the Black Stars’ second consecutive win under Coach Otto Addo, signaling a promising trajectory for the four-time African champions in their World Cup qualifying campaign.
