Seth Panwum Boyoyo, Board Chairman of the National Sports Authority, has announced that the Accra and Cape Coast Stadia are fully prepared to host Category 3 games, specifically for the Black Stars’ upcoming fixtures.
Speaking before the Parliamentary Select Committee on Sports on Wednesday, September 25, Boyoyo stated that both venues are awaiting inspection from the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
He urged the committee and the public to dismiss rumors suggesting that Ghana would play its home game against Sudan for the 2025 African Cup of Nations in Togo.
“Please disregard reports of Ghana going to play its games in Togo. This committee should not give its attention to media rumors because we have written to CAF to come and check out our alternative venues,” he emphasized.
Boyoyo reassured that all necessary preparations outlined by CAF have been completed. “All the things CAF told us to do have been done, so we have written to them to bring their inspectors to come and inspect the venue, and I can tell you that once they come to see the venues, the Black Stars will play their home games in Ghana.”
