Bassit Seidu, the star forward of Accra Lions, expressed his happiness after becoming the first player to score a haul in a single game in this season’s Ghana Premier League.
Accra Lions displayed a five-star performance, beating Medeama SC 4-2 in the match-week 27 opener at the Ohene Gyan Stadium, with Seidu scoring four goals in a stunning fashion.
Medeama’s Vincent Atinga scored their two consolation goals from spot-kicks. Seidu attributed his composure in front of the goal to his recent improvement in the game.
He acknowledged his delight and amazement with his performance in an interview, stating that they managed to come up again after a slight dip in their performance.
“Well, after the first two goals we came down a little bit but we managed to come up again cos we listened to our coach very well did everything he wanted us to do.”
“I feel very very amazed and happy too because it wasn’t an easy task but I did what I had to. I wasn’t having composure at first but I do now and I think that’s the key.”
The team listened to their coach and did everything he wanted them to do. Seidu hopes to continue his fine form when they face Legon Cities in their next game.
