Head coach of Medeama SC, Ibrahim Tanko, has boldly declared that his side will emerge champions of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.

The Yellow and Mauves ended a frustrating six-game winless run with a convincing 2-0 victory over Eleven Wonders at the TnA Stadium on Friday.

A delighted Tanko praised his players for their commanding performance, highlighting their control of the game and determination to secure all three points.

Despite acknowledging the challenges ahead, the former Ghana international remains confident his team has what it takes to go all the way.

“Normally, the last seven to eight games won’t be easy, but I think we have to take it game by game and I’m sure by the end of the league we will be champions,” Tanko said in a post-match interview.

The victory has lifted Medeama back to the summit of the Ghana Premier League standings, at least temporarily, with other Matchweek 27 fixtures set to be played over the weekend.

With momentum regained at a crucial stage of the campaign, Medeama will now look to maintain consistency as they push to secure the league title.
