Ghanaian trio, Elizabeth Addo, Portia Boakye and the all new sensation, Mukarama Abdulia, have earned a nomination in CAF’s 15 Women’s list of African player of the year award, 2018.
The captain of the Black Queens, Elizabeth Addo and Portia Boakye, were part of coach Bashiru Hayford’s side, who failed to make it past the group stage in the 2018 CAF African Women’s Cup of Nation, hosted in Ghana.
Mukarama Abdulia, makes a remarkable entry onto the list, on the back of an impressive tournament in Uruguay, scoring seven(7) goals and reaching the quarter final stage of the 2018 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, as captain for the Black Maidens.
Other notably incredible players listed are ; Nigeria’s three time African women player of the year, Asisat Oshoala, Desire Oparanozia(Nigeria), Francisca Ordega(Nigeria), Chrestinah Thembi Kgatlana(South Africa), Gaelle Enganamouot( Cameroon) and Gabrielle Aboudi Onguene (Cameroon).
The award ceremony will be held in Dakar, Senegal in January , 2019.
