Aduana FC captain Alex Boakye says his side is full of confidence ahead of Sunday’s highly anticipated clash with Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
Boakye revealed that team morale is at an all-time high following four straight victories, stressing that the players are approaching the match with belief and clarity.
“For us, it’s another opportunity to compete, enjoy the game, and try to win. Nothing more, nothing less. The mood in camp is good, the boys are confident, and we’re going there with a clear mind,” he said.
Aduana, who sit atop the Premier League table, have been one of the most difficult teams to break down this season. They have conceded just four goals in seven matches while scoring nine, boasting one of the league’s strongest defensive records.
Their unbeaten run stretched to five matches after last weekend’s 0-0 draw with Medeama SC, a sequence that includes four wins.
Asante Kotoko, meanwhile, head into the fixture as the league’s only unbeaten side, collecting 15 points from seven games and holding two matches in hand that could further strengthen their position.
Recent meetings slightly favour Kotoko, with the Porcupine Warriors winning three of their last five home games against Aduana—an edge that may provide a psychological boost going into Sunday’s encounter.
