The Chief Executive Officer of Aduana FC, Collins Atta Poku, has waded into the ongoing debate about the best centre-back in the Ghana Premier League.
Speaking on Wontumi TV, Atta Poku responded to claims from some fans in Kumasi who believe Kotoko defender Samba O’Niel is currently the top centre-back in the league.
“I hear people in Kumasi say Kotoko centre-back Samba O’Niel is the best in the league, but we disagree. For us, the best centre-back is Alex Boakye of Aduana FC,” he stated.
Atta Poku praised Boakye’s consistency, leadership, and defensive intelligence, insisting the Aduana stalwart has shown unmatched quality this season.
The debate is expected to intensify as the league progresses, with both defenders enjoying strong campaigns so far.
