Aduana FC strengthened their push for a top-four finish in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season with a convincing 3–1 victory over regional rivals Young Apostles in Week 33 action.
The Ogya Boys produced a strong performance, combining attacking efficiency with late-game control to secure all three points and deal a setback to their opponents’ survival hopes.
Patrick Mensah was the standout performer for Aduana FC, scoring twice in a match where his finishing made the difference. Young Apostles, however, showed resilience in the first half through Husseine Issah, who restored parity after Aduana’s early breakthrough.
The hosts started brightly and were rewarded when Mensah fired home a powerful strike to open the scoring. Young Apostles responded before the break, with Issah producing an equally well-taken effort to level the game and keep his side in contention at halftime.
After the restart, Aduana FC increased their intensity and made a key tactical change, introducing veteran forward Bright Agyei. His impact was immediate as he unsettled the opposition defence and eventually won a penalty in the closing stages.
Mensah stepped up confidently and converted from the spot to restore Aduana’s lead, completing his brace and putting the home side back in control.
With the game nearing its end, Agyei capped off his influential cameo by adding a third goal, sealing a comfortable and emphatic victory for Aduana FC.
The result boosts Aduana FC’s ambitions of finishing in the upper half of the table, while Young Apostles are left needing crucial points in their fight to avoid the drop.
