The Atlas Lions of Morocco has qualified for the quarter-finals of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Cameroon with a hard earned narrow 2-1 against Malawi in Yaoundé in Cameroon.
Just six minutes into the game, a nice shot from great distance was unleashed by Gabadinho Mhango to open the score for Malawi in the initial phase.
Just before the half time whistle, Youssef En-Nesyri’s header from close range restored parity for the Atlas Lions at the interval.
Achraf Hakimi scored a wonderful free kick into the top right corner, to snatch the winner in the second half to break Malawians heart to reach the quarter-final.
