Ghanaian Midfielder , Edmund Addo will be heading towards the Blacks Stars for preparation for the AFCON tournament without kicking a ball in the Serbian Super LIGA this season.
The former Sheriff Tiraspol player signed for Red Star Belgrade this season but has not been part of the team. The last time the midfielder appeared on the team sheet was when he played a bench role in round 17 defeat against Napredak. With the Serbian topflight on break till next year, it means Edmund Addo has not played competitive football for almost 7 months but has been penciled as a possible candidate for the AFCON.
His fellow compatriot, Osman Bukari has been a standout player for Red Star in the League and their just ended campaign in European Champions League. The Former Accra Lions player has scored 5 goal and 4 assist in the Serbian League.
