Coach Chris Hughton, the head coach of the Ghana national team, is urging his players to perform at their highest level in their upcoming match against the Central African Republic.
The Black Stars are set to face their Group E counterparts this week in the final qualifier for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
In an interview with Metro Sports on Tuesday, Coach Chris Hughton acknowledged the challenge of facing the Central African Republic and stressed the importance of the Black Stars being in peak form to secure a victory.
He stated, “We don’t know what to expect apart from a hard game. It’s going to be a tough game. This is a big competition with some good teams in it but we would have to make sure we compete well enough to win the game,” Coach Chris Hughton said.
The showdown between Ghana and the Central African Republic is scheduled for Thursday, September 7, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, with a kick-off time of 4 p.m.
