AFCON 2021 finalist Egypt was drawn alongside Ethiopia, Malawi, and Guinea in the 2023 African Cup of Nations (2023 Afcon) qualifiers.
The draw was made in Johannesburg on Tuesday evening, ahead of the tournament to be played in Cote d’Ivoire in May and June next year.
Egypt and Ethiopia were put in Group D along with Guinea and Malawi for a place in the next Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Côte d’Ivoire next summer.
Defending champions Senegal have been pooled in Group L where they will battle out with Benin, Mozambique and Rwanda.
Hosts, Côte d’Ivoire are in Group H with Zambia, Comoros and Lesotho. Only one team will qualify from this group, alongside the hosts.
