Super Eagles defender Bright Osayi-Samuel has played down concerns over Nigeria’s potential quarterfinal opponent at the Africa Cup of Nations, insisting the team is ready for whoever comes their way.
When asked whether he would prefer to face Algeria or DR Congo in the quarterfinals, Osayi-Samuel made it clear that his focus is on Nigeria’s own performance rather than the opposition.
“It doesn’t matter for me, but maybe we need to get our revenge against DR Congo,” he said, hinting at past encounters that did not go Nigeria’s way.
His comments reflect the confidence and competitive spirit within the Super Eagles camp as AFCON 2025 reaches its decisive stages. With momentum on their side, Nigeria appear determined to push forward, regardless of the challenge awaiting them in the knockout rounds.
