Morocco’s head coach, Walid Regragui, has announced his final 26-man list for the 2028 AFCON. The host will target the ultimate after showing the world how good they are in the last three years.

Regragui’s squadis laden with talented players, with Africa’s number one goalkeeper, Yassine Bono, leading the goalkeeping department.

In defence, the big question was whether PSG’s flamboyant right back Achraf Hakimi was going to be included or not. Even though he is injured, Hakimi was called by Walid Regragui. Also, veteran skipper Roamin Saiss was included. Manchester United’s Noussair Mazraoui is part of Morocco’s defence.

Azzedine Ounahi, who alongside Sofyan Amrabat played key roles for the Atlas Lions in the 2022 Qatar World Cup, were named among the midfielders.

In the attack, Real Madrid’s Brahim Diaz, Olympiacos’ Ayoub El Kaabi and Youssef En-Nesyri of Fenerbahçe are part of the team.

Hamza Igamane and Youssef Belammari are on standby.

Check out the full squad.

Morocco, after going unbeaten in the entire 202,5 will face Comoros in the opening game of the competition before squaring off against Mali and Zambia in their second and third games of the group.
