The African Paralympic Committee (APC) has responded to the World Amputee Football Federation’s (WAFF) decision to make Ghana a reserve team ahead of the 2022 World Cup.
The Ghana Amputee team are expected to be part of the mundial which is scheduled to take place later this year but in a letter addressed to Ghana, the decision to make Ghana a reserve team is due to the leadership struggles.
Ghana’s contingents won the African Cup played in Tanzania last year, ensuring they booked their ticket to the world cup this year but WAFF intends to leave out the West African country as one of the teams qualified rather, labelling them as a reserve team.
But in the latest development, the APC, led by Samson Deen are looking to contest the decision of WAFF to disqualify Ghana ahead of the World Cup.
The African Paralympic seeks to understand the reason behind Ghana’s disqualification.
