Time:  8 pm

It will be a hell of a night for both teams as a place in the finals of the CAF Women’s Champions League is at stake. Buoyed by their last victories, 3-1 and 4-1 respectively, Ampem Darkoa lock horns against Sporting Club Casablanca.

Ampem Darkoa Team News

Ampem Darkoa topped Group B with a brilliant display by coming from behind to defeat defending champions ASFAR on matchday one. They were shocked in their second game by AS Mande with a 3-0 defeat and bounced back to winning ways in their make-or-break tie against Huracanes by 3-1.

“I trust my boys so Insha Allah we are going to win this game”, said Nana Joe Adarkwa, coach of Ampem Darkoa Ladies.
He sounded pretty confident in his press conference. Nana Joe Adarkwah, nominated for Women’s Coach of the Year has had an incredible year winning the Ghana Premier League and WAFU Zone B championship and is determined to win more.

Probable 11 for Ampem Darkoa

Deborah Brown, Tracy Twum, Serwaa Amponsah Ophelia, Comfort Yeboah, Mary Amponsah, Jennifer Owusuaa, Nancy Amoh, Abena Anomah Opoku, Diana Amoako and Martha Appiah are expected to keep their places in the team.

H2H

Ghanaian clubs have proven to be better against the Moroccans as ASFAR has lost 2-1 in both games against Hasaacas Ladies (2021) and Ampem (Darkoa 2023).

Sporting Club Casablanca Team News

Sporting Club Casablanca has a difficult job in hand as they play against a team from a country which their rivals ASFAR have struggled against- Ghanaian opponents at this level have been too difficult for ASFAR.

Sporting Club Casablanca is a novice in the game as they are just four years old. After two runner-up finishes in the  Moroccan Women’s Championship and Moroccan Women’s Throne Cup, they are ready to write their history.

Champions of the UNAF Women’s Champions League in 2023, Sporting Club Casablanca have won one, drew one and lost one in the three games they have played so far.

Mehdi El Qaichouri,  coach of Sporting Casablanca said after the 4-1 thrashing of JKT Queens, “I’m very proud of my players. It is a dream to be in the semis after finishing second in the league and come here by qualifying for the semi-finals”.

Many changes aren’t expected here from Mehdi as he will continue the same team that thrashed JKT Queens.

Probable 11 for Sporting Club Casablanca

Abdelahad (GK), Dahrouch, Samake, Mourtaji, Koffi, Diarra, Abdelhakkim, Miftah, Hajri, Tammar, Adjoa Kokora
