Swiss second-tier side FC Aarau have completed the signing of Daniel Afriyie Barnieh on a two-year contract with an option to extend.
In January 2023, the former Accra Hearts of Oak star boy moved to FC Zurich, where he made a total of 50 appearances, scoring 2 goals in the process.
Having been released recently by FC Zurich after failing to land contract renewal, the Ghanaian international has opted to make a switch to the second-tier side to revive his declining career.
"Daniel is a fast, dynamic player and will strengthen our team with his experience in the Super League and on the international stage with the Ghanaian national team." Said the club after announcing the player’s capture.
Afriyie, 24, has also previously had stints with Galaxy United FC (Ghana), Rahimo FC (Burkina Faso), Thunderbolt FC, Madina Republicans FC.
Now, Afriyie is moving to Brügglifeld, where he signed a contract until June 30, 2027.
