Akyem Oda to witness Ghana Premier League football as Kotoku Royals hold Tema Youth to secure qualification

Akyem Oda based Division One League Zone Three side Kotoku Royals FC have gained promotion into the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season after holding Tema Youth to a stalemate on Sunday afternoon in Tema.

Heading into the match, the two teams were separated by two points in first and third position while Liberty Professionals occupied the second position, a point behind leaders Kotoku Royals.

The Royals needed a draw and hope Liberty Professionals FC fails to win against Susubiribi United FC to confirm their status as a top-flight side.

Tema Youth failed to make do with their home advantage as they were unable to break Kotoku Royals who held them to earn a point to confirm their premier league status.

 

Susubribi FC in the other game held Liberty Professionals to a goalless stalemate to deny them a quick return to the top-flight at the end of the season.
