Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder Alex Banso is making encouraging progress in his recovery from injury and has started jogging as he works towards a return to full training.
An Interim Management Committee member of the club, Alhaji Yusif Abdullai, has provided a positive update on the player’s condition, indicating that Banso is responding well to his recovery programme.
“Alex Banso is recovering well. He has started jogging and will soon rejoin his teammates,” Abdullai said.
The update will come as a boost to Hearts of Oak supporters, who will be hoping to see the midfielder return to action and contribute to the club’s ambitions in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season.
Banso’s return to jogging represents progress in his rehabilitation, although he is yet to rejoin his teammates for full training. His eventual return will depend on how he responds to the next stages of his recovery and the medical team’s assessment of his fitness.
For the technical team, having the midfielder back in contention could provide an additional option as the Phobians continue their league campaign. However, the club is expected to manage his recovery carefully to ensure that he regains full fitness before returning to competitive football.
Abdullai’s latest comments suggest that Banso is moving in the right direction, with the club hopeful that he will soon resume training alongside his teammates.
Hearts of Oak will continue to monitor his progress as they look forward to his return to the squad.
