Ghana international, Alexander Djiku, has expressed his delight after Fenerbahçe’s 4-3 win over Lugano in the UEFA Champions League playoff tie.

The Turkish side secured their first win of the season thanks to Edin Dzeko’s hat-trick and a goal from Ferdi Kadioglu.

Djiku, who played the full 90 minutes, took to social media to react to the victory, thanking the fans who made the trip to the neutral ground to support the team.

“First win of the season! A big thank you to the many supporters who made the trip,” Djiku tweeted, accompanied by a celebratory emoji.

The win was a crucial one for Fenerbahçe, who now hold a slim advantage heading into the second leg of the qualifiers. Jose Mourinho’s side will be looking to build on this momentum as they aim to secure a spot in the group stages of the Champions League.

For Lugano, Uran Bislimi and Milton Valenzuela scored consolation goals, but it was not enough to prevent their defeat. I
