English League Two outfit, Walsall FC has announced the signing of experienced Ghanaian winger Albert Adomah on a one-year deal, making him their sixth summer acquisition.
The 36-year-old has expressed his enthusiasm to start his journey with the League Two club, bringing his wealth of experience to the team.
Adomah, who has previously played for Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest, joins Walsall after his departure from Queens Park Rangers, where he spent four seasons making a significant impact in the Championship. He holds the record for the most appearances in the Championship with 528 matches under his belt.
During his tenure with QPR, Adomah featured in 129 games across all competitions, including 18 appearances in the 2023/24 season, bringing his career total to an impressive 775 matches.
“I’m excited to be joining Walsall FC,” Adomah said. “Now that I’m officially a Saddler, I can’t wait to get started. I started off in League Two at my local club Barnet nearly 16 years ago, so now I’m back in League Two where the journey started.”
Adomah has achieved great success in his career, getting promoted twice from the Championship with Aston Villa and Middlesbrough. He hopes to achieve similar success with Walsall FC and is looking forward to helping the younger players in the squad.
“I’ve had so many achievements in my career,” Adomah added. “Hopefully I can achieve that fate with Walsall, that’s the intention. It’s a young group, but with my experience, hopefully I can help the youngsters.”
