Alhaji Karim Grusah, the owner of Ghanaian top-flight team King Faisal, has accused Ibrahim Tanko of refusing the club’s coaching job due to financial issues.
Tanko, who is currently the head coach of the Black Meteors, previously played for the Isha Allah club before leaving for greener pastures with Borussia Dortmund.
Grusah launched a scathing attack on Tanko in an audio aired on Vision 1 FM, accusing him of not showing gratitude when he needed him the most. Grusah claimed that Tanko abandoned his boyhood club to take up a position as technical director at Accra Lions due to money.
“Osei Kuffour has done his best. For Ibrahim Tanko, it was my brother who brought him to the team but at the time we needed a coach, he turned his back to us. He rejected us and accepted to be the technical director of Accra Lions because of money”
“Because I couldn’t afford his demands, Tanko also didn’t think about the good things I have done for him years ago” he said.
Tanko is presently the technical director of Accra Lions, who have had a successful season in the Ghana Premier League.
