King Faisal FC owner, Alhaji Karim Grusah has lambasted the Porcupine Warriors for including Otumfuo Osei Tutu II image in their new jersey.
The astute football administrator described the act as uncivilized and spoke ill of the decision to use Otumfuo image.
He stated that, maybe these Ashantis don’t know how Otumfuo is valued and continued that the King will never go to war and suffer defeat.
According to him, it is a village thing to do by putting an image of a great King like the Asante Hene in an image.
“It’s uncivilized to put Otumfuo on the Kotoko Jersey. In fact, it’s a village thing. Otumfuo is more than that. Otumfuo does not go to war and lose. Maybe these Ashantis don’t know how Otumfuo is valued.”
Kotoko unveiled their new jersey on Tuesday after ahead of the 2022-23 season in Ghana and in the CAF Champions League campaign.
