Ghana defender Alidu Seidu is set to leave OGC Nice for fellow French Ligue 1 side Stade Rennais after the two clubs reached an agreement over a season-long loan deal.
The 26-year-old will join Rennes on loan for the entire 2026/27 season, with the agreement reportedly containing no option for the French club to make the move permanent at the end of the campaign.
Seidu is now expected to undergo his medical examination before completing the transfer to Rennes.
The move will give the Ghana international an opportunity to continue his career in Ligue 1 while seeking regular playing time and greater consistency on the pitch.
Seidu joined Nice after establishing himself as a versatile defender in French football. His ability to operate at right-back as well as in central defence has made him a useful option for clubs looking for defensive flexibility.
