All Blacks coach Ahmed Fathi fights for survival as Kotoko roll into Swedru

All attention will be on Swedru on Matchday 17 of the Ghana Premier League as Swedru All Blacks welcome an in-form Asante Kotoko in a fixture loaded with significance both on and off the pitch.

For All Blacks head coach Ahmed Fathi, the stakes could hardly be higher. Reports suggest the club’s hierarchy is seriously weighing up his future, with defeat against Kotoko potentially triggering his dismissal. The encounter has therefore taken on the feel of a must-win clash for the embattled tactician.

All Blacks Show Resilience but Remain Under Pressure

Despite the growing tension, Swedru All Blacks have shown signs of resilience in recent weeks. They have recorded two wins, two draws and one defeat in their last five league matches, a run that has kept them competitive but still hovering dangerously close to trouble.

Their home form, however, offers genuine encouragement. All Blacks are unbeaten in six home matches, conceding just three goals in that period, and have made Swedru a notoriously difficult venue for visiting teams. That defensive solidity could be crucial as they attempt to halt Kotoko’s attacking momentum.

Free-Scoring Kotoko Arrive in Ruthless Form

Asante Kotoko travel to Swedru full of confidence, chasing a fourth consecutive league win after demolishing their last opponents 6-0. The Porcupine Warriors currently boast the most lethal attack in the division, underlining the scale of the task facing the hosts.

Kotoko’s recent performances suggest a side peaking at the right time, combining clinical finishing with growing defensive assurance as they push up the league table.

More Than Three Points at Stake

For Ahmed Fathi, this match represents far more than a battle for three points. With his job reportedly on the line, Saturday night could define his tenure at Swedru All Blacks, while Kotoko will be determined to maintain their winning momentum and underline their title credentials.

With pressure, form and pride all colliding, Swedru is set for a tense and potentially decisive Matchday 17 showdown.
