All you need to know about Hearts of Oak’s new board

Ghanaian giant Accra Hearts of Oak SC have officially unveiled their new board of directors of the esteemed club.

The following are the members of the Board of Accra Hearts of Oak SC PLC, whose appointments will be presented to shareholders for approval at the Annual General Meeting:

According to the information provided, the newly appointed directors of Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club PLC are:

  1. Togbe Afede XIV (Chairman)
  • Togbe Afede XIV is the Agboglomefia of the Asogli State.
  • He is the immediate past President of the National House of Chiefs.
  • He is a business executive and the CEO of SAS Finance Group Ltd and Strategic Initiatives Ltd.
  • He has over thirty years of experience as an investment banker.
  • He holds a BSc degree in Administration from the University of Ghana Business School.
  • He was a lecturer for four years, teaching Financial Accounting and Accounting Theory.
  • He also holds an MBA from Yale University School of Management.
  1. Delali Anku-Adiamah, PhD
  • Delali Anku-Adiamah holds a PhD in Computational Systems Biology from the University of Manchester, UK.
  • He also holds a BSc in Computer Science with Business Management from the University of Birmingham, UK.
  • He has worked at prominent organizations such as Manchester United as a Financial Analyst and Accenture as a Technology Consultant Manager.
  • He has also held positions at Markit, FactSet, and Autonomy as a Senior implementation Specialist and Technical Specialist.
  1. Prof. Agyemang Badu Akosa
  • Prof. Agyemang Badu Akosa is a Medical Doctor and Consultant Pathologist.
  • He is a retired Professor and former Head of the Department of Pathology at the University of Ghana Medical School.
  • He has chaired several boards, including the African Population and Health Research Centre and the Ghana Health Service.
  • He is currently the Chairman of the Board of New Crystal Health Services.
  • He is a Fellow of the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences, Ghana Medical Association, Royal College of Pathologists, West African College of Physicians, and the Chartered College of Physicians.
  • Mr. Akwasi Agyeman, Ing. Dr. Kenneth Ashigbey, and Mrs. Ivy Heward-Mills, who were appointed on March 25, 2024. Mr. Akwasi Agyeman is the CEO of Chana Tourism Authority, with a background in media, banking, and tourism. Ing. Dr. Kenneth Ashigbey is the CEO of Chana Chamber of Telecommunications, with experience in leadership, advocacy, telecommunications policy, and regulatory engagement, as well as corporate governance. Mrs. Ivy Heward-Mills is a former Justice of the High Court and currently a Lawyer at the law offices of Heward-Mills and Co, Accra, Chana.
